How to Get From the Family You
HAVE to the Family You WANT
(aka Creating the Family Life of Your Dreams)
"All [families] dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was nothing: but those who dream by day dream with eyes wide open to make their dreams come true."
"This is such valuable material for parents. The things that you are sharing are inspiring, spot on, and making a difference in my parenting and in my family. I'm grateful that you follow your own dreams and mission so that you can bless and inspire others."
-- Sharleen L.
"All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them."
- Walt Disney
Have you ever felt like your family is not living the life you are 'supposed' to be living?

Or have you felt you should be 'further along' than you are now?

That there should be 'more' to life?

More fun? More meaning? More influence? More peace?

Have you felt that you're living below your family's potential?

Or you thought that things would be 'different' by the time you ___________ (were this age, had these kids, made $X amount of money, or hit any other milestone)?

And maybe you had a dream once but over time you gave up on it.

You're not the only one.

In our work with families on five continents and 40+ countries we regularly talk to parents who say,

"I feel like I'm living in a walking coma."

"My life lacks meaning and purpose. It's like I've been asleep for the past 10 years."

"I love my kids and my spouse but we fight so much that family life is a pain."

"The meaning of my life has been lost in the day to day routines."

"The rat race kills me... it sucks my soul. I want to fully live and I'm not sure I can take X more years of the rat race."

"I had a dream but it's not possible or realistic... I have to be responsible."

"This is just the way life is."

But it doesn't have to be this way.

There is another way to do family life.
"It's only after we have a clear vision of where we're going and WHY it's important to us that our daily actions begin to have meaning... So I kept asking why... why do I get up? Why do I read these self-help books? [and all the things you say we should do]...

...these actions are a constant reminder to help me remember that MY LIFE HAS MEANING! That there is a point to life... I think I forgot that for a couple of years and got lost in the day to day routines.

The point of life is not to endure to the end and get through it but life is to soar and grow and thrive until I've reached the next phase. It was NEVER intended to be squandered in front of a TV.

Life is for growth -- the constant and never ending vigorous improvement.

Thanks for helping me remember that."

-- Travis L., father of four
"I would feel ungrateful if I didn’t thank you for interrupting the unhealthy patterns I was stuck in. You have helped me see that I was living in my own “victimville” and could choose to change my mindset and work on my heartset and my skillset.
I have listened to your podcasts and every single one strikes a major chord for me! I can feel a shift in the tides and I am hopeful that I will make some changes, that I have struggled with before, by utilizing the tools you have given me."

So how do you create a life where your daily actions have meaning instead of being mundane and monotonous?

How do you learn to soar and grow and thrive -- even amidst the chaos of family life -- instead of escaping in front of the TV every night?

How do you break unhealthy patterns, leave 'victimville' and change your mindset, heartset, and skillset(s)?

That's where The Map comes in...

But first...

Yes, your life REALLY can be that good (and not fake or phony).

You CAN create a life you LOVE so you don't have to live a 'fake' life and put on the facade or mask.

You can be the same authentic person and family in public and private.

It IS possible.
